Please feel free to call me or email us with any questions or concerns. I look forward to a wonderful and healthy school year!
The Most Common Reasons Students Are Excluded from School:
Temperature 100 degrees or above. (Must be temp. free for 24 hours before returning to school without Tylenol/Motrin)
Vomiting (24 Hour vomit free to return to school)
Diarrhea (24 Hour diarrhea free to return to school)
Medication
If your child will require medications at school, we must have medication orders signed by the doctor and the parent/guardian and medication in the original container before we can administer medication at school. Only medication which cannot be given at home will be given at school.
All over-the-counter medicines (OTC) such as cough drops, cough syrups, antihistamines, creams, lotions, sprays, and pain relievers are not allowed at school unless accompanied by a signed written physician's order giving specific instructions for administration and a signed parent permission form. The OTC medication will be kept in the nurse's office under the same security as prescription medication.
No medications will be given unless there is a prescription label on medicine and a signed consent form in office. Medicine will only be given to follow doctor’s order.
Hearing and Vision Testing
All students in grades Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st, 3rd, and 5th grade will have their vision and hearing tested. We will only notify those that are referred to see a doctor of results.
*Scoliosis: Females in 5th grade will be tested for scoliosis. Notification will be sent home prior to testing.
**Please notify the school nurse of any medical condition changes, or restrictions to activity immediately.
